Reporting a problem
A few details help us work out what happened:
- Your Karamba and macOS versions.
- The provider and model you were using, if relevant.
- What you expected, what happened, and how to reproduce it.
- A screenshot or the exact error message, if you have one.
Please leave out API keys, passwords, and private chat content. Check screenshots for sensitive details before sending them.
A few things to check
The shortcut doesn’t open Karamba.
Make sure Karamba is running. The default shortcut is Option + Space. If another app uses it, choose a different shortcut in Karamba’s settings.
I can’t connect to a provider.
Check the API key, model, and base URL in Providers settings, then use Test connection. Your provider may also require API credits or billing to be enabled. A subscription to a provider’s chat app may not include API access.
I want to use a local model.
Apple Foundation Models need a supported Mac and system setup. For Ollama or llama.cpp, make sure your local server is running and that Karamba has the correct connection details.

Karamba is coming soon. The website’s pricing section explains the planned trial and purchase. We’ll add the download link when it’s ready.
